Static & Soul: Veronica Fusaro’s Ascent to Eurovision 2026

A subtle tension permeates Veronica Fusaro’s environment- static clings to your skin, ash burns your lungs, and there is an invisible and tangible force pushing past the surface of her polished existence.  This is what causes her ascent to the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 to not feel like a flash in the pan, but instead has been a process through which she has earned her current place in the world.  Layers upon layers of interaction and events create a seamless integration of her being into this world.

From Thun, Veronica’s voice does not scream for attention; it commands it.  Warm yet razor-sharp.  Her music is filled with that feeling of having a late-night conversation with a friend that goes slightly askew but is electric nonetheless.  Groove and tension coexist but also create separation that will ultimately lead to reconnection.  Think of a piece of concrete cracking just enough for something new to grow.

Fusaro has now performed over 500 shows; she knows how to use the audience as a reflection of herself while using the stage as a confessional space. She leans in or pulls back; she uses the silence to create or enhance the impact. This balance of using vulnerability to display commander will serve as her most valuable asset—an emotional currency, that has taken many artists years to build.

Now, with the help of creative direction from Fredrik “Benke” Rydman, this strategy becomes clearer; it’s more than just a performance; it’s going to be narrative design in a way that will practically distill her identity to over 170 million people worldwide.

Fusaro is grounded by her performance because there’s no way she’s going to chase after spectacle; instead, she’s after the truth—raw, grainy and impossible to duplicate.
